Gearbox oil seal:

Simply put, the function of an oil seal is to seal the oil and prevent the oil inside the gearbox from leaking out. And oil is an essential liquid substance in the gearbox transmission system, so the role of oil seals in gearboxes is to ensure that oil does not leak out.

The more common types of oil seals are split type and assembled type. The output and input ends of the reducer are equipped with oil seal devices. As the reducer works for a longer time, the oil temperature also increases. And oil seals can protect the bearings and oil leakage of the gearbox, thereby maintaining the normal use of oil in the gearbox.

Oil is a liquid substance that is volatile, and it evaporates faster at higher temperatures. The quality and lifespan of oil used in reducers are directly related to the quality of oil seals. Therefore, high-quality oil seals can improve the working time and lifespan of reducers.

On the other hand, oil seals also play a role in preventing resource waste (oil) and cost increases. When selecting a gearbox, it is necessary to understand the quality and structure of the oil seal. The above is a brief introduction to the function of gearbox oil seals, which can also be understood from other aspects.

Gearbox bearings:

There are many types of bearings for reducers, with rolling bearings and cylindrical roller bearings being commonly used. There are many series of gearbox bearings, such as SKF bearings, Fag bearings, NSK bearings, NTN bearings, and TIMKEN bearings.

The function of reducer bearings is twofold: on one hand, to prevent the loss of lubricating oil inside the bearing during use, ensuring that the bearing is in a lubricated state; on the other hand, to protect the bearing from dust or harmful gases from entering the bearing cavity, in order to prevent damage to the bearing. Bearings can play a role in supporting the gear shaft or connecting rod between rotations in the gearbox.

In addition, different models and sizes of reducers require different types of bearings. A reducer is a transmission mechanism that needs to transmit torque to the working machine through a shaft and bearings.

Therefore, the transmission efficiency and quality are directly related to the bearings, and the sliding quality and service life of the bearings will affect the overall quality and performance of the gearbox.
